Meet our new "responsibility" Who can say no to that cute face??
I always thought getting a dog would be a well thought out decision years down the road but instead it was more spur-of-the-moment. Justin and my dad were talking about dogs over the Christmas break and there is a little Yorkie at the skeet shooting range that my dad thinks is really cute. Justin looked up the breed on the internet and showed me a picture. The dog was so cute I blurted out "that is the dog I want someday!" That is all the encouragement Justin needed to start calling breeders and before we knew it we were driving to Houston to pick up a miniature Yorkie.
We named him Milo and he is the most lovable little creature in the world. He only weighs 1.5 pounds and should get to 3-4 pounds full grown. He loves to cover your face with kisses and curl up in your lap or sit on your shoulder. He can run up the stairs really fast but can't come down them. He is afraid of heights and hates baths. I bought him some cat toys to play with haha - a squeaky toy and some balls that make a rattle sound when they roll and of course he is afraid of them both.
Yorkies are very hard to housebreak as we have come to find out but hopefully he will get the hang of it soon. This little dog is more work than we imagined but one look at that cute face and he is totally worth it! I guess we are getting some good practice in before having kids, right?

He is soooo cute! Milo is a great addition to the Sheffield family...and one step closer to having a baby! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie! Amen to the "hard to housebreak" - we have a yorkie and she was a handful to train. She came to us with some bad habits already set in, but luckily she's better now :) Good luck he's too cute!!
